Akiko uses the free Amiga emulator WinUAE for emulating most of the hardware of the game consoles. However, the official WinUAE version, which is available from http://www.codepoet.com/UAE/, does not allow emulation of the CD-ROM hardware or of the nonvolatile memory, so I had to compile a custom, now called Akiko enhanced version of WinUAE, which is slightly modified to allow CD audio playback and other things. So you have to use the Akiko enhanced version of WinUAE now. This version is included in the Akiko distribution and installed in the WinUAE folder in Akiko's program directory. You can also download this version in a separate archive plus the source code from the Airsoft Softwair homepage which is online at http://www.airsoftsoftwair.com/.
